Just My Luck
Well serving national service in the army is hard. But to make it worst, i had this idiot duty orderly sergeant (DOS) who is on the ball on a relax day which is sunday. Well last sunday i had to book in late because i miss the 0730hrs fast craft (ferry). So i took the next fastest boat in at 0830hrs. Normally i would be on time but that day was different.
The DOS pushed forward his routine briefing from 0945hrs to 0845hrs. This cause me n two other guys to be late. He was all cranky for this mess that he created n tried to fault us. We tried to reason with him but he did not budge in.
The rest of the day was normal. I slacked the whole day in bunk, sms-ing my sweetheart n reading books with my mp3 turn out loud. There would be another parade at 2145hrs that i had to attend just to hear some crap from the DOS. It was suppose to be routine except for the School duty officer to come and close my armskote late.
The aftermath is i have to listen to another lecture by the DOS and reasoned with him again. Well, from my point of view is that he is trying to "wayang",act, at the wrong time. Again another mistake that i wasn't able to avoid. Then he told another instruction that we need to report for cookhouse duty at 0515hrs the next day.
